Overview:

The Grand Reef can be found behind Roslit Bay. The specific coordinates are: X: -3576, Y: 151, Z: 523.

The location is composed of two main components. The first one is a small main island surrounded by a strong current with a large, raging storm lying overhead. Underneath the center of the storm is a small, black hole with what appears to be dark air coming out of it. Surrounding the main island is three smaller ones.

The second component to this location is underwater, where the player can find an expansive coral reef with large rocky structures compared to that of Northern Expedition. Underwater, you can also see a large stone column that connects to the main island, stretching from the ocean floor.

• This is the first island which introduced lightning strikes above the island, causing sound effects to appear.
  • As a result, the Electric Mutation (1.45x) appears to be more common, with a 15% chance.
• Grand Reef isn't recommended for new player due to the negative progress speed when reeling a Legendary (-60%) or Mythical (-75%).
  • The Grand Reef was one of the best fishing spots for farming until its nerf in the Mariana's Veil update.
• This island is one of the best spots for catching supply items, such as Fish Barrels, Common Crates and Bait Crates.
• Using known better baits like Super Flakes, Shark Heads, or Weird Algae has no major effect on the fish caught.
  • Using Fish Heads is better for the location.
• The Grand Reef was part 1 of the upcoming Atlantis Update on January 25th, 2025.
• There is a hidden text in Latin, saying "The mother of all monsters".
  • It was speculated to be a tease for the Atlantis Update.
